Lilac Close-up

I made a practice piece of one of the lilac trees on my lawn. I call it practice piece has it was the first time I tried it and consider it part of my learning process. I misjudged the size of the tree I wanted to paint and as a result, the tree got pruned a bit too much. I also didn't leave enough room on the page for other elements I wanted to include, like mountains, sky, etc. So I cut up the picture to try to make something out of it. The result? A close up photo of the flowers and leaves. Just 'cause. Tap to enlarge.
