Creative Recycling

Recently, in our mindfulness art group we were given a prompt of making things larger to see how they change and affect us. We were to choose an object for the experiment. The warm up was to simply draw the object. Looking around the studio, a plastic six pack holder caught my eye. (The actual one got recycled. This is a model.)

We began with a warm-up of drawing with non-dominant hand. Then for each exercise that followed, we increased the size of the drawing.

Well, by the next exercise, the object was speaking to me. I saw these little critters emerging and thought that expansion does not necessarily mean just drawing bigger. There are other ways to increase the size.
